Just a quick update - the curash powder was really good and cleared up most of the redness and stinkiness overnight. Just have to keep an eye on it now.... was probably worse than usual last week cause we were in the tropics
Thanks for the suggestions all!
You may also find a recurrence of this (and worse) when bubs gets a little older like we did. We are now using canesten cream as recommended by a pharmacist as nothing else (everything that all the ladies have mentioned here) would clear it up once he started dribbling profusely so he's constantly wet. Hope it doesn't happen again, but just thought I'd post this in case it does.
Ohhh, Peter's neck is disgusting, there are things curling up and dying in there. My hubby calls it "necro neck".
The cornflour works well, but we find it hard to get in there- the thing we find works best is to put him on his tummy so he lifts his head up and then we have better neck access.
I tried to put cornstarch power in my DSs neck tonight, as we have the same issues, and he promptly did a little milk chuck all over the powder, and then I had a lumpy wet mess to clean up... EW...
But I then managed to repowder after and hope that it might help clear it up.
