I feel ridiculous posting this. I'm not a prude. I don't really care. I actually think it's kinda cute. I just wonder when it will stop...
2yo DD1 must always, always be naked. She strips off all her clothes and runs around naked all day long. She will consent to be dressed if we are going out in the car but as soon as we get home, clothes and nappy can't come off fast enough. Plays in the backyard naked, swims in the pool naked, plays all day naked.
Last night she was put to bed and came prancing out naked with a big grin, having taken off her jarmies and nappy (after having had them replaced THREE times in between bath and bed time). A few stern words from Daddy fixed that, she knew she'd gone too far that time.
It's really only a PITA because she isn't toilet trained and I am having a lot of trouble catching her wees and poos because I've also got my 7 month old DD2 to chase after (who is already crawling and pulling herself up into a standing position). DD1 can hang on for hours and the SECOND my back is turned will wee or poo on the floor. So I've missed the opportunity to catch her with the potty and it could be another 3 hours. Today, she's been awake since 5am and apart from a trip to the doctor has been naked since 6am.
DH and I have almost completely given up dressing her and pretty much just let her run around naked now, it's just the weeing and pooing on the floor driving me crazy. DH is working 6 days a week in the lead up to Christmas so he won't be available for a full weekend to help me chase her with the potty to get her used to the idea for a few weeks yet. She's a busy kid, always on the go, and I'm sure has ninja skills because she can sneak away and wee somewhere in the blink of an eye.
DS certainly always liked to frolic naked (still does) but he never stripped his clothes off once they were on.
She is in fact sitting on my lap in all her nudeness right now.
Sorry this has turned into a bit of a grumble - I just wanted to know if anybody else had children like this and when they get over it.
