At 5 1/2 months? what did yours do?

DD2 was a late bloomer...still is she still isnt walking yet,didn't sit up till later and didnt crawl till she was over 1.


As hard as it is not to worry and compare, they all have their own schedule

Well at 7 months (was the same at 5 1/2)

She rolls, mostly only from back to tummy seems to have forgotten how to roll the other way, she lvoes holding onto blankets/taggie, grabbing at toys on the hanging thing over her playmat. She is weight bearing on her legs, and spins in circles on her mat.

She isn't sitting unaided (hates the bumbo ) or crawling or comando crawling etc.

DD1 had Significant Goss Motor Delays, so I won't bother putting down her "milestones"

Hi Sparklz, I swear we need to stop meeting like this. 3 times in one night.....

I am having trouble trying not to compare my DD's. DD1 bloomed very early. She was rolling and sitting up by herself by 5 months and trying to crawl a couple of weeks later.
DD2 who is a few days older then your princess sounds similar. Very happy cruisy baby and just likes to sit and watch. She has not rolled yet, she can sit up for short periods by herself though, she grabs at things and holds on very tight and loves standing for short periods. I know she will get there in her own time and I am not rushing it. I am going to sit back and enjoy.

My DD was not holding onto things at just on 6 months. She'd unconsciously hold onto things in her grasp, but wouldn't intentionally grab. Didn't roll either. Then within a week, at about 6.5 months, she started grabbing, and a week later started pulling things to her mouth. The rolling came all in a big rush too. She's now 7 months and isn't sitting or crawling but kind of slugs around on the floor.

Oh and she also does a great fish out of water type flop around the floor the minute I take her nappy off.
