Just wanted to tell you that a good friend of mine took her little DD to sleep school (the Koo Wee Rup one) and she said it was a blessing and the best think she's done as now her DD is in such a good routine sleeping like a trooper (was a very bad sleeper, but then again, aren't most of them like that at 5 weeks old??). I'm sorry to hear that your DS has hernia, it could very well explain the unsettled periods and definitely lots of crying. Poor wee mite. Big hugs to all.
