    Crying Eye..

For as long as i can remember, i think it was from birth actually, Jesse's left eye, about 2 or 3 times a day or so, will have a tear come out of it. Not from crying or being tired or anything.. i look at him and through the day he'll just have a tear on his cheek. It doesnt seem to worry him at all.. his eye isnt red or swollen or inflamed or gunky.. just normal with 1 tear every now and then.

Im just wondering if this is anything serious to do with his tear duct? Like i said, its not a recent thing, its been happening since bith, so 9+ months now.

I never really thought anything of it until a girlfriend mensioned today that her friend's son had a similar thing. The doctor said if it doesnt stop by 12 months then he'd have to get his eye duct stretched (which has to have done now he is 1). This isnt what i wanna hear.. i dont want my poor baby to go through any pain.

Does anyone else's bubs have this?

I haven't seen it in a baby but I did work with a lady who has always had like leaky eyes, they would water here and there for no reason, wasn't any big drama, she just kept a hanky on her.

Thanks Mads.. yeh its exactly the same as Jesse.. he is known as Mr Smiley, but always has that tear.. will see how it goes then.. have another 2 and a half months or so, so lets hope it clears.. and that doctor was talking about something completely different!

FIL, prior to have the lung cancer, had a skin cancer in the very corner of his eye.. then they removed the cancer they had to remove the tear duct also.. so his eye always waters. Same as the lady you knew shell, he always has a hanky on him. But thats a different thing altogether.. we just say its Jesse's sympathy tear for grandpa

Sophie had the same from birth, blocked tear duct, she was on AB's last month for other reasons and it has cleared up no tears since!
