I agree with the others - if she's up on her knees already then it won't be long before she's OFF and AWAY!
My DD crawled at 11 months and walked at 14 months.

Definitely normal! #1 here crawled at 13months and then walked the next day after pretty much refusing to move! #2 is almost 11 months now and is looking like she'll be happy to sit forever.... I hate that competitive spirit with bubs different milestones - they are all different, thank goodness otherwise there wouldn't be any surprises! xxx

My DD is 8 days younger than my BF son... he is standing on his own already, and Harmony only just started to sit up!!! No crawling, just rolling.....
    It's perfectly normal babe....

Although Harmony does already say Mama, dada and bubba, and her son doesn't even babble, all babies do everything different sweets....

Our Paed-Physio told me not to worry until 11 months and even then it can be normal. Also crawling is not a developmental milestone at all, some babies commando or bottom shuffle, only walking is, which made me feel better as DD has only JUST started to slide/push herself around backwards (we have slippery floorboards) and pull herself up on things and she is 10 months. It irks me so much when people try to make such stupid things as teeth or crawling a competitive comparison

cookalooks - don't stress!! My boy never crawled. He dragged his legs around everywhere with him - they call it commando crawling. He didn't start doing that until he was nearly 1 1/2 and then he didn't start walking until he was a month off his second birthday. Now - he RUNS everywhere. However, his speech is exceptional........... he was just working on other things and reading books.

Don't, whatever you do, compare what your baby is doing with other babies. They're all individuals and do things in their own time. Every single one develops differently and while there are milestones, they don't all reach them at the same time.

If you're really worried contact the CHN, but I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Thanks MB - yeah i think i got too caught up in the comments this "friend" made Miss E will do it when she is good and ready - which for me is good, if she's not on the move yet, i dont need to have eyes in the back of my head just yet!

Its totally normal. In my mothers group there are 7 babies, three aren't crawling at all yet (two are aged 9 months and 1 is aged 10 months) and another baby didn't start crawling till she was about 10 months and even now she only crawls somewhere so she can stand up and then cruises around on the furniture. Enjoy the no crawling while it lasts, when they start crawling they dont stop.

LOL..that's what i'm telling myself now!! - i might as well enjoy her not being too mobile because once she figures it out, thats it, i'll have to be even more vigilant!!
