My newborns often shared a bed with me (particularly after a 6am feed when I was too tired to put them back in the cradle). I've had all of them come into my bed as toddlers too (my 2 year old still jumps in my bed around midnight). They will grow out of it. You won't have a 15 year old in your bed like the child nurse told me.
