What about when they are asleep? Aren't you worried that it gets caught up on something?

I'm not worried when she's asleep, as it's normally tucked inside her onesie, but even if it wasn't it has never been a worry for me. I cannot see anything in her cot that it could get caught on, and we use sleeping bags with nothing else in the cot.

You could try wrapping it around her ankle a couple of times if you'd feel better about it?

If you got a good brand hun with the safety clasp they are designed to break under pressure so they can't choke on them and also it should be knotted between each bead so if it does break only bead will come off.....it's like a watch or earrings...once you have had them on for a while our skin receptors become desensitised to it and youn literally can't feel it anymore. I am glad the novelty has worn off for her and all seems good now....

    Hehe, welcome to the club
when Isaac was younger I used to put around his ankle and put a sock over it. He's just started wearing it round his neck at 18 months and is fine

Like human bean, when DD has her night sleep it is wrapped around her ankle. you can get teething anklets/bracelets, so when her ankle is too big for it to fit wrapped around twice will get one of those for her to use at night instead.
During the day it stays around her neck. I was a bit worried about it at first, but now that she and I are used to it I'm fine with it.
Don't they just look so cute with them on!

I got the honey light one. It's gorgeous, she really suits it

Cool, well she is asleep now so will keep an eye on it and maybe do the ankle thing from tomorrow.

    Thanks guys.

i took ds's off a little while ago because he was getting a weird rash on his face and the chemist suggested taking it off to see if that was causing it (it wasn't)
anyway... i put it back on a couple of weeks ago and he was fascinated, but he got over it pretty quick and hasn't bothered with it since.
the novelty should wear off soon!
