I have one, it's brilliant. I've had a cheap brand too and there's no way I'd get another over the Amby. The spring is bigger and better, the sling is held to the spring better, the sling and mattress are longer and the mattress is firmer. Very safe.
My DS fights sleep during the day and will only feed to sleep, and my DD was exactly the same. So I feed him to sleep, then transfer him to the hammock. He wakes up like always, but I bounce and rock him a bit, he just stares at me, closes his eyes and has a nice sleep. DD never slept well during the day until we got this. Until the hammock, DH couldn't get them to have day naps because he couldn't feed them to sleep, and if he managed to rock them to sleep in his arms they'd wake when he put them down. Now he can just put them in the hammock awake, bounce and rock them, either sing them or give them their seahorse and they nod off. It's not just a catnap either, because they generally put themselves back to sleep with rocking and bouncing![]()
