Anyone else dreading the end of daylight savings?

I used to like daylight savings.....until I had a child.

DS is waking up early- 6am. Which means tomorrow its going to be 5AM. 5AM.

It doesn't seem to matter what time we put him to bed- up at the same time, no matter what. I am dreading the next week!

I just hope that if we keep his bedtime at the same time by the clock (ie, an hour later with daylight savings ending), he will eventually be tired enough to break through the normal waking him and sleep longer. Right? Please?

Anyone else developed a severe aversion to the whole daylight savings malarky?

I'm hoping to trick my two & keep them up a bit later than usual in the hope that they sleep longer. That said, they have been sleeping longer the last few weeks with it being darker in the morning.

I hope you can get through it ok

I'm hoping it will make my kids sleep longer. We get up at 5am most days. I refuse to get out of bed at 4am. They can kick and scream and cry, I don't care. I WILL NOT get out of bed at 4am. Hopefully they will realise this and sleep til at least 6am.....hopefully

YES! I am dreading it too! I think I've got weeks of DS waking up at 5am. These days it doesn't matter what time he goes to bed he still wakes up at 6am, so I'm thinking it might take us a while...

Dreading it here too... DD1 wakes anytime b/w 6 and 7.
Am also hoping i can keep her up til say 8pm and then she might sleep longer but normally it wont matter what time she's in bed.
Hopefully it stays nice and dark and cold and she will want to snuggle her blanket and go back to sleep.

Wont make too much dif with DD2 as she still just does her feed every 3hrs during the day so no routine yet, which is good.. no routine to stuff up...

Yup. I am dreading it big time. Last winter, DD didn't adjust AT ALL. ALL normal time she got up at 0545... over Summer we can get 0645 - 0700. It didn't matter WHAT I tried, she still woke at the same time. I'm hoping that now she understands the sun is still asleep, she might stay in bed.... otherwise, I plan to seek revenge when she hits her teenage years

My theory didn't work DD has been awake since 4am. I refuse to let her out of bed though!

Uh huh! Took her til 5.30 to go back to sleep, but then I couldn't get back to sleep However, at 7am they're both still in bed, so hopefully that was just a hiccup!

Another one here.... doesn't seem to matter what time she goes to bed she still wakes at 5.30... now it will be 4.30 she doesn't seem to care that it's still completely dark!
Thank god for Foxtel is all I can say.... buys me another hour of sleep.

No way, I'm thrilled it's over. It's going to be sooo much easier to get them into bed at night and I'm a morning person anyway!
