    It's quite normal. I've known a few kids who have some quite complex words very early on, then the physical milestones come and the words disappear, not to be seen again until 20 months (in one case I remember...)

    Good on you for keeping an eye on it though.

    Thanks ... we still talk as much as ever with her and repeat words and even play the "Ta" game so she definitely understand our cues and words and even has mini meltdowns at the word "No" (already!) I guess it is tough with the first when you hear them babble and then they stop ... that being said though apparently I just read in my baby book ... I said one word until I was 18 months old and then started talking and havent stopped ... maybe DD is like Mummy on this one !
