My baby girl is 10 weeks old and she hasn't done a poo for 2 days. She is doing plenty of wet nappies and she seems pretty happy. Before this she would do 2 or 3 dirty nappies a day.
Just wondering if this is normal or does it mean she is constipated?
Its not uncommon for breastfed babies to go 10 days, sometimes more, without pooing.
this wasn't my expereince with DS, but I know plenty of mums who bubs did it.
Its becuase your breastmilk is so much more readily absorbed, so they don't always have as much 'output'.
My daughter pooed eveyday up until she was 3 and a half months old. The longest she has gone without a poo if 12 days, she was getting very grunty by the end of it but the poo was still normal when it came out. Just be warned, that if they do go for a longer time without poo, the amount is usually more than normal when they do and it can go everywhere! It's great fun!! lol
