I was going to say the same as HotI, it'll be hard to stop her and it may just be the surprise of waking up that way. When DD learnt to sit she'd wake up in a sitting position and start crying, same again when she learnt to crawl. It just took time for her to get used to it and either stop doing it or get back to a comfortable position.

I think if you were to tuck the bottom of the sleeping bag under the mattress she'd still roll because it wouldn't actually hold her in position, and then her legs would be twisted or more held down, she'd probably like that even less. Does she maybe not like it because she's wrapped when she rolls? Maybe it'll actually be better in the sleeping bag?

She doesn't roll when she's wrapped, that's why I would like to continue it. But it's just getting too hot for wrapping. I have put her to bed probably 5 times with no wrap and she just Kicked the blankets off, rolled on her tummy and then started crying. Maybe I will just buy the bag, use it for day sleeps first and spend lots of time with her on her mat just rolling from front to back so she gets the hang of it. She can do it, but hasn't much. I have the porta cot set up so she can sit in it and play during the day (and so she gets used to it for when we go away) and when she reaches too far for a toy she face plants onto her tummy and then cries for me to sit her back up

Lol learning to roll is the cutest thing

We first put DD in a sleeping bag at three months because she'd spend so much time just struggling to get out of the wrap, she'd wake herself up. We did the same as what you're planning, used it during the day to begin with, and when she was used to it used it all the time. Sounds like you've got a good plan with helping her to roll a bit better too

It's ok for them to roll over at this age. My daughter slept better on her stomach.
