Baby sleeps fine in port-a-cot but not in cot. Help anyone?

After months of difficult sleeping I moved DD (10mths) downstairs (away from the rest of us!) into a port-a-cot to sleep at night to let everyone get some peace and quiet. Ever since the move she has slept really well! When I tried to put her back into her cot recently (after about a month of great sleep in port-a-cot) she kept waking and crying. She seems to get stuck between the bars (legs and arms) but when I tried a bumper it didn't seem to help. She seems so comfy in the port-a-cot as I think she likes to roll into the stretchy sides. She can't sleep there permanently (can she?), but I don't know how to get her back into her cot now. Any suggestions??

If she is safe and happy I would leave her there. As far as I know there is no "law' as to where your child should sleep.
If she is sleeping well and you are getting a good nights sleep keep her there.

Babies are incredible the way they finds things to comfort themselves. Perhaps she likes touching the fabric sides, or the fact it is snug and enclosed? If she is happy then I wouldn't change it. You can always try again in a few more months. HTH

Thanks guys, you'd think a bed is a bed but apparently not!

My ds loves his port-a-cot too I think the only problem with leaving them in it long term is the mattress that comes with them is not good for their little backs to sleep on all the time. If you put the proper cot matress in, or get some dense foam cut to size, I reckon you'd have no problems.

Im with everyone else, If bubs is happy and so is the rest of the family, then I would leave it be. But as LR said, get a matress/foam cut to size to support bubs weight.
