Baby's First Book? HELP!

Hi Everyone,

I have looked EVERYWHERE and can't find a baby book for Madeleine. I want to record everything, time of birth, date, first time she smiled etc and I am not sure where to find a good one. I have looked in absolutely every shop, i.e. David Jones, Myer etc...HELP!

Can anyone suggest where to get one? Doesn't matter how much it costs, I want a good one.

you could try looking in book shops like Boarders. I have seen some nice ones in there. Or you could try ebay.

Try all the big bookstores! Angus and Robertson, Dymocks and Borders should have them. I have the Possum Magic one and we love it. I also have the Guess How Much I Love you Babies first calendar and I love it because whenever we have done anything throughout the year I have put it on her calendar too. If I miss something it doesnt matter I just go through her blue book and our fridge calendar, plus it has all the firsts like teeth, standing, crawling etc!

Borders does have some nice ones, that's where I got ours. Its Possum Magic, so gorgeous... I just wanted one that wasn't kitschy as all get out, they had several nice but not cutesy books.

Bindy - I have a spare one here that I don't use - I got it to give to my sister when she had her bub last year, who was unfortunately stillborn.

So its still in Aricyn's cupboard, not being used. Would be happy to send it to you if you like? Its not too cutesy, space for photos, lots of information to be written in there, things like footprints and keepsake part (I put his hair from his first hair cut in there in mine) and also comes with a growth ruler thing with a duck on it. Pretty cute!!!

So if you are interested, its yours mate.

I was given mine at the RBH during my pregnancy visits... so you could try calling the hospital and asking them. Goodluck

I got a "baby's record book" from Target. I bought it about a year ago, but think they still sell them. They have blue gingham covers for boys or pink for girls. (They have a range of matching stuff too - picture frames, hand print thingies, thank you notes, etc). Quite attractive, and lots of spaces with things to fill in! All the usual firsts, dates that teeth came through, that sort of thing.

i got mine in the bounty bag at the RBH as well. but i have seen the exact same one at babies galore, for 20 bucks!

I got mine from Aldi!!! gee i really love that shop! And it has everything i wanted to record!

I actually saw a few really nice ones in Big W in their book section, not baby section. Pity I was given one as a gift in some ways (not being ungrateful cos it's nice too....) cos there was one there in particular that I LOVED!!

I got one made by a lady whose business card I got & kept for about 2yrs before I even got pregnant! It is personalise with Charlies name & a poem & she puts in the pages you request from a list provided. It's got a blue cover with a little wooden baby on it & comes in an organza bag. I love it, though it did cost around $70 incl postage...but if you are interested you can message me & i'll give you the details & some pics if that helps.

Probably a bit late, but I got a great one from the Warehouse for $10, and I've since noticed they have a couple of different ones. Not sure if all states have that store.
