    Bath time = horror time

My 21 month old DD used to love bath times, she would sit in her little seat and i could wash and bath her with ease.
    Now, she is the opposite.
We've had to get rid of her bath seat, as she is too big to fit into it and on several ocassions coaxed her into sitting in the bath tub but nope she won't do it. She used to walk about in the bath to pick up her toys from inside the bath, but now she won't do that either, she stands in one spot and doesn't move. I now have to give her a shower in the bath whilst she is crying and screaming and we both get really distressed over the whole ordeal.

She's been having swimming lessons since 6 months of age and she loves the water but however is now afraid of some of activities we do there too.

I don't what to do about it? She used to love water but all of a sudden has changed. Is this just a phase?

It is so difficult when things that were working, stop working!

Have you tried taking her in the shower with you? That might be an option - it can also save time as you don't have to have a separate bath-time for her. Another thing to do is to put some water and toys in the bath and use it for water play - like using a trough. The two of you sit or stand in front of the bath and play with the toys, experiment with tipping water, things that float/sink, even colouring the water can be fun. Work up to splashing. Then, when she associates the bath with fun, she might go in. It could take a few days, or it might work first time. GL.
