    Belly button very red?

Hi all, just looking some advice
After washing DD tonight I noticed the skin and inner bit of her belly button (she has a bit of an outtie) is quite red, like looking nearly to the point of bleeding red? I touched it and she didn't seem phased by it so I don't think its painful for her. She hasn't gotten any redness/rashes anywhere else on her body.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks heaps

Could she be poking at it? My DD plays with her belly button when she's tired or stressed - it's her weird version of thumb sucking. She's a bit more careful now she's older, but she used to make it look quite sore.

Hmmm no don't think so, she's 8mo so I don't thinks she quite realised the rest of her body yet.

We get that alot in our house with all the kids and myself. Cottonbuds are great for the extra clean. Clean with water twice a day for 2/3 days and should be fine. Some savlon cream would be ok if it smells funky

Sorry if it doesn't make sense, the barefoot princess is covering me with kisses
