I think you handled it well. Nothing more you can do IMO other than explaining you have to be gentle and not put things up there.

A friend of mine DD used to 'ride' the arm of the couch (she was a bit older though) so I guess it's all exploration, which is pretty normal so it seems.

DD3 has just learnt where hers is... & is always trying to put things in there (though not up yet). Food, bobby pins, pencils...

DS & his penis though. Wow! I swear he must think its going to fall off if he lets go of it He seriously just sits on the lounge watching telly with it all in his hand. No playing, just holding.
