    DP still gets them when the weather changes from cold to hot and vice versa - it has happened all his life. Maybe his nose is sensitive to the change from mild to really hot.

    My DD used to get them quite a bit at the same age (ish) in the heat. Asked the GP and she said it was nothing to worry about as long as she didn't lose too much blood. She's now 3.5 and hasn't had one in ages.
