    by 2, but we always had a 2nd cake for the kids to blow out because the last thing you want is dribble all over the cake you want to eat and the fact that all the kids want a go at blowing out the candles

    yeah not at 1 but by 2, an expert no family birthday cake is safe & we've had to re-light candles so DS & his cousin both get a turn!

    DD2 gave it a red hot go with her cake on the weekend but I think the flying spit might have done the job not so much the blow
