I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Brauer Baby Care Products, inparticular the Colic Relief and Stomach Calm.
I am thinking about trying this to help relieve DD's colic and reflux but just wanted to know what other people think about it and how is the best way to give it to your baby. Like would you give the colic relief before a feed and the reflux after a feed or both before or after a feed etc?? I know the chemist will tell me one way to do it, but just wondering if some mums out there have found a better way that works.
Veronica, I haven't used those particular ones, but I am a fan of the range. I think it would be worth a try, but I'm afraid I can't give you tips on when to give it. Good luck.
Yep yep, i've used both. I think stomach calm is more for older babies tho...so i stopped using it. As for the colic relief i don't really use it at set times...just when he gets really unsettled...and it helps calm him and settle him. I also find infants friend to help soothe the colic when he gets really unsettled. But i haven't found anything to completely help colic...tried everything.
I have heard and been told many times to try baby massage so i think i might look in to it!! I see that you are in WA, do you have any recommendations on where i should go?
Thanks Melanie and Aniejade for your replies.
Aniejade - why do you think the stomach calm is for older babies? the website says to give 'infants' 1ml..
I might give it a go. I know it probably wont get rid of it but worth it if it helps DD not be in pain.

I dont have anyone that I can recommend in Perth for baby massage...sorry
but I do run regular new mothers workshops in Perth, which include baby massage, mother and baby yoga, and education on all things new baby...for more info you can have a look at my web page
a really simple technique you can use to alleviate wind...
firmly, but comfortably, hold your baby's calves and gently bend her legs at the knee so that her knees move to her abdomen...hold for a count of 6...and then gently bounce her legs down, supporting them the whole time...repeat a few times..
this really helps relax their belly and helps with the peristalsis of the gut to remove the wind
standard baby massage has many benefits..which i wont go into now...but i have a list on my baby massage page
I have only used the teething product with Mackenzie and it seemed to work for her. My DS has reflux and I'm seriously thinking about trying bowen therapy. My mum and dad have it all the time and they were talking to their man who said her can help with it. He is blind and has wonderful success with babies with all types of ailments. I guess because he is blind he really does rely on his hands to do the work for him and also his ears as he will listen to what you have to say. He said it would take him 2 minutes and he only has to touch 6 muscles/areas. I've also just ordered the 'wonder' medicine that the girls have recommended from WA. It arrives Monday so hopefully that will help him too. So in answer to your question - I have no idea!
i ended up going out and buying the two brauer products. we have been using it for two days now and avaleigh is a chamged bub! she is no longer tense with her legs drawn up. changingher nappy was so easy cause i didnt need to battle with her legs!!
Glad that brauer has worked for you v I also got some of the colic relief for ethan a week or two ago but have not yet used it, have just been using infants friend which seems to be doing ok so far, sometimes though he still seems to be in a bit of pain though, so i might try the colic relief. Its horrible seeing our bubs in pain
