I started with day sleeps for 2 days he went without one during the day then I just didnt give it to him this night.
It was just that one night that he cried for, hasnt had it since so ive thrown them all out
He went into a toddler bed last night without an issue too, very happy

    Good luck with you DD

I took my DD off the bottle when she was 16 months. Cold turkey.
I just replaced the bottle with extra cuddles in the rocking chair, and she was fine

Thanks for that, hope you dont mind me asking but i posted on here and noone has replied and i just wondered being as you said about it,with the toddler bed,did you just take the cot away cold turkey?Im such a chicken,DD is such a good sleeper and im worried once she goes into a big bed are my evenings and nights over?Weve had the big bed set up for a while now just not sure whether to put her in and get rid of cot at same time or leave cot int there in case?

Yeah i did, I brought the toddler bed & took the cot straight down, no probs he loved it, its a Thomas one with a thomas doona so he was really excited to sleep in it. DS was a horrible sleeper, now he sleeps all night since getting rid of bottle and putting him in a bed

It does get easier hun. Its like all of a sudden they just forget all about it. All I can suggest is dont take the dummy off him yet. It can be a big thing for them losing the bottle and he would find comfort in his dummy atm. Just give it a couple months in between atleast.

Just lots and lots of cuddles and explain to him he is a big boy now etc. Try not to give in... otherwise all your hard work so far with it is undone.
