Thanks everyone for your advice and help, you made my decision very easy! I pick up my new Fisher Price Precious Planet Cradle n Swing later this afternoon... can't wait! Fingers crossed she likes it and my back, arms and legs get a break!

We had the FP power plus swing.. Bella just loved it and would be asleep in minutes when I put her in it. I paid about $200 for it but just sold it on e-bay for $50 - lucky lady got a huge bargain cause it was in perfect condition.

We have a Jumperoo and DD loves it!! We only got it just before her first birthday, seeing as she is only just learning to crawl we are going to get good use out of it We bought it all as an investment for future bub's too

Well I have the swing!! I put it together last night but she was already asleep so I didn't get to use it straight away I used it this morning, she was in it for half an hour quietly staring at the mobile. She did start to get upset after half an hour so I took her out straight away, I don't want her to associate the swing with being upset... so do you think she'll get more and more used to it and be able to spend more time in it at once? It only took 5 mins of fitball bouncing to put her to sleep after I took her out though, usually it takes me over an hour.

Also, she definately prefers the sideways swinging than forward and back so i'm so glad I got this one. can't wait til she starts smiling so I can actually tell if she likes it or not, at the moment she just looks mesmerised by it.
