sounds perfectly fine!
Our little guy is quite the sleeper (11.5 weeks old - 8 weeks adjusted age) - he sleeps for 12 hours at night (with short up times for feeds) and then during the day his "routine" if you can call it that is as follows:
2x's a day: up for 45 minutes to 75 minutes and then down for a nap for 2-3 hours - if I can, I like him to do his day sleeps at home so that they are "high quality" sleeps as this does seem to make a difference).
1 x a day: shorter nap late afternoon (1-2 hours) usually in the pram while I go for a walk
His tired signs really do start as early as 45 minutes (or as late as 75 min - but never any later) after up time and if I catch them right away, he goes down fairly quickly with a bit of rocking in a rocking chair and cuddling. When he wakes he seems bright and happy and playful and doing what he is "suppose to" at his adjusted age - but with the feeding during wake time, he really does not have a long playtime.
He is not on any schedule, but I keep a notebook and this is definitely the pattern.
I know to some this may seem like a crazy question, but he's my first and I really don't know the answer to this question.
sounds perfectly fine!
As long as he is getting enough feeds in there is no such thing as too much sleep I say! What a champion sleeper you have.![]()
don't brag
sounds perfect to me!
sounds a lot like my little man!
He sounds like a well contended little fellow. I was worried initially that he wasn't getting enough to eat as he slept so long at night, but have been reassured from a number of areas that he sleeps so well as he is getting it all during the day- that he would wake if he needed anything.
You are one of the lucky mums who is never allowed to talk in public about how well your bubba sleepsWelcome to the club

Sounds perfect! Looks like you have the "dream" baby most mothers would be envious of. Enjoy!
Sounds like you're doing an awesome job
Our little girl loves to sleep about the same amount, she just won't do it in a cot. Sling, my arms, my bed. It works for us. But I am a little jealous of your little prince!
thanks everyone - I really wasn't sure - I have no point of comparison and I'm also a bit of a worrier!
Sounds perfect to me too. Babies do their growing in their sleep. Enjoy it while it lasts. Before long he'll be able to be awake for longer periods. Glad you're doing well hun.
my little dude is 13 weeks and to be honest i would say he probably sleeps more than you little dude lol
i am a little worried about him not having enough feeds cause he sleeps 12 hours through the night withou waking for a feed
Audax - double wrapping changed my life. Other than the fact that he is wearing animal print fabric, DS looks like an Egyptian mummy when he goes down for a sleep. I thought it was cruel at first, but he was waking himself up all the time and was not a happy camper. Now, he's a different baby.
There is something really special about putting your baby to sleep in your arms! I love that peaceful look they get.
