they both sound great, but I'd probably lean towards the one with kids your DD's age. I've been to a couple of playgroups here and neither of them have kids around DD's age, so we just kind of do our own thing. And because she won't walk on her own I spend most of the time holding her hand while she wanders around checking things out.

I would just be honest with the playgroup ladies, say you've found a different group that has children your DD's age that you think will suit you better, but of course you are sad to be leaving them because they are a lovely bunch of women. I'm sure they'll understand. maybe give them your mobile number and you could catch up some other time during the week if you still wanted to keep in touch?
