car seat that have been in an accident

thanks to all the advice that i got when i stole another tread about 2nd hand car seats, i have rang the aami and asked them what to do, they said to get the car seat checked out so iam doing that this week and they said if it needs to be replaced then i will get a new car seat and they will renburst (spel) me for the new car seat.

You can have then tested for safety and for any damage to the seat. But I would think that checks are very rigorous and would test for any fractures in the plastic and metal fittings on them.

i have just spoken to RACV and they said to have a good look at it to see if there is any cracks, but because MAdison was not in the car seat at the time, it should be fine, i will still get t checked out to be sure.
