Mackenzie was one who slept fairly well but if she woke and we couldn't get her back down we would pop her into bed with us. Sometimes it was everynight for weeks then she would go back down no problems for weeks - it really depended on her and also how tired we were. This really only stopped when she moved into a bed at 22 months. Now she is in her bed (she will be 3 in June) she has probably come in and slept with us 5-6 times. However if she does wake up which is usually around 2-4.30am we go to her and she usually moves over, pulls back the covers and says 'jump in'. We fall asleep and wake about an hour later with a dead arm and then climb back into our bed. If she wakes at 6.30am she will come into us and we get her to jump in to try and get an extra 30mins or so ourselves but this is usually just play time - very rarely does she go back to sleep. I say do what ever works for you and gets you thru the night. There is no right or wrong.
