    colds- green snot

Hi. DS (10mnths) has had a cold on and off now for mnths. his snot(TMI0 has been mainly clear, but now it has turned green and he has a nasty cough.. it does not seem to be bothering him,and he is still eating & drinking heaps!! Anyhow, i have bronchitis and on meds, i know this is contagious, and i have been very sick with it. We are off on hols next week, flying interstate.. I am wondering, should i take baby to see dr, can they prescribe him antibiotics? i have been rubbing vicks on his chest, giving him demazin and he has the vapuriser in his room going..

I'm sure what you are doing is fine. It's sounds like just a cold especially as he's still eating and drinking normally.

Definately get him checked out if the snot is green. They can prescribe antibiotics for babies. I hope your little one gets better soon!

For you guys, Dr said if its green, always go to your GP even if it seems like onlya cold.. best to catch things early, she said if i hadnt of gone, and we flew intersate on tues, he would have been in complete agony.. so i am glad we took him.. thanks guys!!!
