Just thought I'd throw my two cents inmy DD1 went down to one sleep at ten months but can never make it to midday. She has to go down for a sleep at 10-10.30. She's nearly 19 months now and is still more than happy with what's happening. Marcellus gave such good advice. Try not trying so hard. And the transition from two to one sleep is very difficult. Agh!! Sleep. It's the bane of most mothers' existences methinks! xx

Thanks for that MS, interesting that your DD likes her sleep early in the day. I'm trying to not try, and just go with the flow, and hopefully she'll show me what it is that works for her. Yesterday she had a second nap at 4pm and I realised I'd been so hung up on 7pm as bedtime and I didn't have to be. In fact she got a bonus trip to the park with daddy after dinner by doing it this way.
