Hmmm.....so it might be a reflux thing again? At least we don't have the masses amount if spew (yet!). It's funny, we raised the top of her bassinet tonight and it doesn't seem quite as bad (so far) - something we did for DD1s reflux.....
My DS had silent reflux and it wasn't until he was 4-5 weeks that I realised while watching him carefully that he was bringing up and swallowing it down so there was not heaps of spew. If raising the cot and sleeping upright helps then it is a possibility worth investigating. I also found that trying to burp him made things worse as it made him bring up the painful acid so I would just sit him up for a while after a feed and not burp him. Good luck reflux sucks!
Thanks Lana. I'll need to look out for it. Reflux runs in both mine and DH's family (I had it as did he and his two siblings). DD1 had it really bad. Hers involved lots of screaming and vomit. Once she was on losec we lost the screaming and just coped with the vomit. I wouldn't be surprised if DD2 was diagnosed with it based on the history. I might try and watch her and see what happens.
my DD usually grunts a lot too ( her grunting on one side, DH snoring on the other) then farts and the grunting usually stops then,so maybe there is a connection.
My sisters DS farts so much he wakes himself up constantly, I think he is a grunter too.
