Izzy has been getting cradle cap too- shes nearly 10 weeks. There is a thread around somewhere and the verdict basically was, olive oil or baby oil and washed off in the bath with a mild shampoo, bicarb soda and water in a paste although you need to be careful not to leave it on too long, or there is stuff called moogoo infant scalp care that you can buy (google it). (Will see if I can find the thread for you!)
Ive decided to let nature takes its course as it isnt too bad, even when I did use oil etc it would just come straight back anyway. She also gets it in her eyebrows and generally has dry skin on her face so I use a baby moisturiser on her face which has cleared that up - I kind of run it through her scalp too!
