My DD has been doing this for some time... she's had a cold, on going (or she had one, got over it and caught another one really soon after, don't you love winter ) and she coughs at night time, then cries, but is often still sound asleep at the time. Poor thing, it breaks my heart, sounds like she's really in pain
My little one cries in her sleep too, she's done it quite a lot recently. I think it's her teeth.
It's so sad when she does it though, I feel awful for her!
