Is the cot sheet more effective than a wrap?
Seems to be for her. I think because it's larger you can wrap them tighter and so they can't squirm their way out. I know the muslin wraps didn't work on her but the cotton cot sheet seems to.

What do you wrap yours in?

Cotton and flannelette wraps are too small so I am wrapping in the biggest muslin ones I can find. I have 2 my sis gave me which are huge that seem to be the only ones my little Houdini can't escape from.

First night ever last night I woke and his arms were still wrapped and he slept an extra 1 1/2 hrs, hopefully today will be just as successful.

She sounds like a perfectly normal 8 week old

I see you are in SA did CAFHS tell you about the setting workshop they run, it goes for about 2 hours and covers sleep patterns, settling techniques etc without cc. we found it really helpful.
