Just after a little guidance of what day sleeps I should aim for with my 5month ds. We hit an all time low with sleep and I've decided we need more structure with day time sleeps.
At the moment he's in his cot around 7pm and is out round 6am (with feeds in between!)
Any guide as far as what time and how long would be fabulous.
hi dueinfeb I am interested to see what people have to say also. Georgia probably has two day sleeps if you could call them that, most of the time I will get half an hour at a time 1 hour if I am lucky. Georgia is in bed about 9pm - 6-7am.
DD2 is only 4 months but still only lasts up for around 60-90 mins before getting snippy and in need of sleep, she can have anything from 4-6 sleeps a day, some days there all 45-60 mins sleeps other days she goes longer say 2-3 hours in length
At five months DD went from having 4 sleeps to 3. Now its up at around 7am and back down about 8:30ish (for 2 hours) then awake for 2 hours and back down at noonish (for about 1.5-2 hours) and then a small nap at 4:30ish (for about 20mins) then bed at 7pm.
If we're out and about she will only sleep for 40mins, but if we're home, they tend to be long sleeps these days.
Bella goes to bed at about 6.30 and sleeps through till 6.30 - 7 am then up for 2 hrs and back down for about 45 mins - 1 hr and thats pretty much how the day goes... she is pretty clock work with sleep evey 2 hrs and then back in bed for the night @ 6.30 again.

i found at that age ds was really only staying up for around 2 hours at a time. he would be awake between 6-7am naps around 9am, 12ish, 4pm (they could vary between 45mins - 2hrs depending) then back in bed by 7pm - always.
i can be so hard though, just follow your baby and watch out for the signs. try not to let him get overtired.
