    Question Daylight Savings and bedtime....

Can you tell I love summer and daylight savings?!
A bit early I know but I was thinking today about Isabelles sleeping pattern ( or lack thereof at the moment ) and was wondering what happens when daylight savings starts?

The one consistent thing at the moment is that she goes to bed at 7 every night. So when we change over what do we do? Put her to bed at 8?? or slowly adjust her bedtime now?? She wakes anywhere between 7 -830 depending on the amount of times she has woken in the night so thats not really an issue although changing her bedime may impact this too...

Any thoughts and words of wisdom appreciated!!
    TIA

I think slow adjustment works the best. Where we are the summer makes it hard as it is soo bright at bedtime even with blinds the light peeks through. It doesn't get dark until midnight. So getting them to bed is a problem.

im really looking forward to daylight savings and putting DD to bed at around 8pm instead of 7pm.... will mean that she gets to spend extra time with her daddy, and I am hoping we can go on a nice long walk in the evening before bedtime...

i think if u plan on putting them to bed at the same time, u bring their bedtime forward 15 minutes every few days to get them used to it. but geez i'd feel funny putting her down for the night in such daylight!! and i reckon she'd know something was up too, she is so switched on, the cheeky monkey. im predicting she goes to bed a hell of a lot later during the summer, as it will be hot and its such a good time for being outside and doing stuff.... im really looking forward to it and just hoping she adjusts by sleeping more in the mornings or having an extra nap... hmmmm we'll see.

I agree, bring their bed time forward 15mins each day. If you don't then when Daylight savings finishes you will have the problem of them wanting to go to bed too early (LOL- as if!) I always found Miss M just slipped right into it when she was younger but I can see it is going to be a problem this year as she is more aware of the fact it is still light outside.

Mmm I like the idea of 8 at night so DH can spend more time with her but the other end might be a problem.... sooo hard to know isnt it - especially as I think she will just adjust to whatever suits her anyway!!
