DD and dreaming constantly throughout the night

DD who just turned 3 dreams constantly throughout the night. You can have a full on conversation with her about what she is dreaming about.

The thing is I really think it is effecting her quality of sleep and when she clilmbs into my bed it is definately effecting my sleep as it wakes me up and keeps me awake.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can help settle her mind I guess. Otherwise the other option is making sure she stays in her bed all night which I don't really want to do.

Do you mean she is talking in her sleep??

Maybe she is to over stimulated before bed time.. My ds does this and i mean you think he is awake.. He gets up plays and walks around and talks to us as if we are the people in his dreams.. very scary but i cant stop him lol unless i tie him to the bed..

what i do know is take him into quiet time before bed cause ds is on meds to help him sleep it only takes 40 minutes to kick in and his out so i take him into the room and read books or even discuss what his done for he day and what he wants to do the next day..
maybe letting her express herself before bed will take everything out of her mind..

and i could just imagine how tired you would be cause i am the same i have to follow him around to make sure he doesnt fall down the stairs or climb up the cupboards

My Dd who was 3 in September us exactly the same, she also has nightmares. If she sleeps with me I get no sleep as she kicks and tosses all night as she dreams. But if she's not in my bed the nightmares are worse. So I have her bed in my room, she starts on her own mattress but usually ends up on mine and if the kicking is too much I get into her single one!!

I have asked around a bit and people tell me it's a phase. I hope so, we both need better sleep!!!

DD who is 2 is the same atm. She talks in her sleep and has conversations as well. She also have night terrors - she had one last night and took me a while to get her back to sleep.
When she is like that I sit with her in the lounge with no lights on and she snuggles into me and will drift off to sleep and then I put her back in her cot and there she stays till morning. Have you tried that if she wakes??
