tbh before having DS and educating myself I would have found that a bit strange but now I think it is a great way to use EBM, better then pouring it down the drain. Now I just don't understand why people think that another animals milk is better then our milk!? (when their is an option as I understand that it isn't always an option )
Its liquid gold! Can't waste it, will prolly do him good, give his immune system a boost esp with everything going around at the moment. Men are funny.
Thanks for reminding me!! There was a thread like this ages back and I thought when we have another I might try this with ds1 (he was only bf until 7/8weeks and that wasn't exclusively)
I have showed him by hand expressing which he finds hilarious and tried to express me. I did this so he would understand breast feeding an wouldnt get jealous when feeding ds2. Sometimes when Spence is crying he'll come point to my chest and say milk milk. I have asked him if he wants some and he just shakes his head! I really dont think he would have the skill to attach and feed even if he wanted to. I will have to express and see give him some.
My DH had a taste with ds1 dont think with ds2 2 though and I have tried a little both times, Phil wont try it again cause its a "bodily fluid" lol and I say but you'll drink milk aut of a cows boob lol he knows but it \s just a mental thing really I'M PRETTY SURE HE WOULD BE FINE WITH nOAH HAVING SOME IN A CUP, HE MADE THE COMMENT THE OTHER DAY, WHY DONT U TRY ATTACHING nOAH
Not gross at all! Oskar sometimes asks for "pa" as he calls boobie but he's lost the know how of attaching and sucking. I didn't realise they lost that!! Anyway, I haven't tried EBM but maybe I should...lol if I can be bothered trying to express - not very successful event for me. I'll ask DH later what he thinks of it and come back and let you know.
