Sure did DD had her first hair cut just a few weeks ago - not long after her second birthday. Yep, she was a baldy for a while! Thankfully the hair dresser just put some aside for me or I would have forgotten!

I was given a photo frame gift set when she was born which has a matching little box for her baby hair and another for her first baby tooth. I've put her hair in there for safe keeping.

I would have loved to have seen a bit of my baby hair cause it sure has changed in colour over the years Not to mention, nothing beats the softness of baby hair

Sorry to go against the grain. DD hasn't had one yet but I won't be keeping any. Strange because I am usually a very sentimental person (DH says I'll cry over the phone book!) but I just don't get the hair/tooth thing.

I kept DD's hair and have it in her little keepsake box. I think it is very special and something I'll always treasure. Mum didn't keep mine, though I wish she had! You can keep it and can always get rid of it in future if it's not your thing?

Glenny - Thanks for offering a different opinion. I'm not sure whether it's something that I'll treasure, but I have a little snap lock bag of hair and will put some in his baby book. It's probably more for me than for him - don't know of too many men who have a soft spot for their own baby book!

Don't get me wrong, I think it's lovely to keep those kind of things if it's special to you. I personally just don't get it. To me, it feels like keeping her nail clippings. Maybe I'm just missing that sentimental thing? But for sure if you're thinking it may be something you regret not doing then I would keep it, as Belle said- you can always change your mind later but if you never kept it and regret it, it's too late to go back.
