    I really think it comes down to personality. But I have also seen how parenting can play a role too. I've seen disasters stem from competitiveness encouraged by parents, or favoratism for the happy content calm child vs the energetic strong willed child. I think we still need to watch out how we teach our children to interact, how to deal with their problems, to teach tolerence of each other and especially love regardless of how we irritate each other or how different we are. I know its not the be all end all but it does make a difference from what I've seen in some families. And thats not to say if the kids don't get along I'm blaming the parents

    ETA: On the gender issue I don't think it really matters at all
