I don't give her chocolate. But if DD1 get some from her Oma when her cousins leave (as that is apparently a very devastating experience for her) or I am having a couple of squares and DD2 comes up and smacks her lips at me, sure I let her bite a little. It certainly hasn't spoiled her appetite for veggies or anything. And yes, it is much more difficult with subsequent children to keep things from them as their older siblings leave their food around or blatantly try and shove it in there mouths, so DD had also had peanut butter and eggs before 6 months courtesy of DD1 .
