Does it get easier with more kids??

When I had DD1 I was so nervous about having 2 children, simply because I thought that one filled up my time. Then DD2 came along and I felt the difference big time initially. Granted DD2 was a handful and DD1 didn't want to share her parents affections. I think I got used to having 2 when DD2 was around 6 months. DD1 matured a bit and DD2 settle and we go into a groove. Now DD3 is here and I am coping ok. Although having 3 has greatly increased the washing and housework for some reason.

Alot has to do with the kids personalities and from my experience the age gaps. I like the age gap of 2 years with my first two but the small age gap between DD2 and DD3 has made things limiting for now.

That's what scares me!! I won't be having another one until DD is sleeping good, I might not survive otherwise, pmsl.

Same here Sara.... I've been saying that to DH lately.... Until DD sleeps better... I'm WAAAY too tired to think of being pregnant again yet... LOL!!! Although DH wishes we were!!

Ugh, and imagine having to get up so much with morning sickness, ahhh...

I was just thinking yesterday, is it also easier with the next one bc you know what to expect? You know that the first few months will be hard but you also know it WILL get easier.

Definitely! Having a second one was a breeze in terms of knowing what to do and learning how to 'read' your baby etc and you feel so much more confident in your ability to be a parent kwim?

i have found the first few months of having 2 very very hard, but now i am absolutely loving it and i couldn't imagine it any other way. my 2 are really interacting now and are just so much fun. the first 4 months or so were incredibly hard, but i'm so glad now that we got through it, it's all been really worthwhile.

I thought it would be easier than what it is going from 1 to 2! I am finding it really hard, as Aiden is that wonderful age of 2 and working hard to push all boundries and Charlotte is a very unsettled baby- extremely windy (poor lamb) and screams/cries most of the time!! Aiden was an easy bub and fell into a routine straight away but this time it is completely different and I feel like a 1st time stressed mum!!! I know it will get better and she is only 6.5 weeks old (I hope)... Also had a hard pregnancy which I guess dosen't help my mental state!!! Though I love them more than life its self- its just a hard slog at the moment!

The second one on its own is easier like you said with feeling alot more confident, knowing how to do things but just the 2 together is whats tricky!
