Life WOULD be easier, simpler and much quieter if I just accepted that:
a) At 30 months of age, it's "all about him"
b) It's normal for him to want attention 25/8, not just 24/7
c) He'll eat playdough at any and every opportunity regardless of being asked not to
d) He'll draw on everything BUT the paper
e) He MUST hold the unopened bubbles container
f) Vegetables are no where near as tasty as milkshakes and lollies
f) That "No" is less about "No, and get stuffed mum" and more about him working out where his boundaries are and what he can get away with.

Argh. DS1 has finally hit the terrible two's. He's never had so many time outs in the last week (and that's me picking my battles). And this mummy is more than a little fed up with toddler attitude (who knew they could have "attitude" at this age???).

But, I know it's all normal as normal can be. I just need to take stock, start to chill out and do my best to reward the good behaviour and ignore the undesireable stuff.

This parenting gig is no easy ride some days!

Thankfully he's still my gorgeous boy when he's asleep
