Double prams - what do you recommend?

My son will be 16mth old when the new baby arrives. We need a new pram as the one we have now doesnt have a toddler seat attachment. We are looking at getting a Phil and Teds p3 sports buggy with toddler attachment but am also looking at slightly cheaper options.

Im not so hot on the idea of side by side but am willing to consider it on recommendation.

What double pram do you have and why do you like it??

Anna, Jack was 19 months when Tom was born and we have the phil & teds. I love it, it's worth every cent. TBH I have only started putting both boys in it recently, as I mostly carried Tom in the sling until he started to get really grabby at around 6 or 7 months. But even if I had Tom in the sling, mostly Jack would be in the phil & teds and I could use the spare seat for bags. Now both boys sit in it all the time and they will stay in it for ages very happily. Also it is quite easy to push with them both in, although it is heavy up hills (I don't think you'll find a pram that's not - the p &t is about 11kg and the boys total about 21kgs so there is no easy way with hills LOL).

Anna- we have been doing a lot of looking around at twin prams, and struggling to find one that meets all our requirements. I personally dont like the P&T because I am not terribly fond of 3 wheelers. We are probably going to get the Valco Trimode twin runabout, which even though is a "3 wheeler" it actualley has a second front wheel added so it is 3 wheel shape but with 4 wheels IYKWIM. Might not suit you because it is a side by side- but I think that is what we wil go with!

I know some people don't like 3 wheelers as they are worried about it tipping over. But I have been using the p & ts since Jack was born and have never had any problems with tipping. In fact for me, the 3 wheeler is great as it is easier to maneovre. This is my personal opinion though, others will have other views!

i got the baby love tandem pram cause i found it the easiest to move around plus i can fold it down one handed & its not much bigger than my single pram - it also only weighs 12kgs - i didnt like the p&t cause friends had said it is hard to get a sleeping baby in & out - so far im wrapped in my pram

My DH surprised me yesterday by buying my pram of choice - P&T!!! I'd been doing a lot a research and was adamant I didn't want a side by side or a tandem (one behind the other) due to compromised manoeverability. The other options were a couple with a toddler seat, however I just didn't like the tiny toddler seats that come just above the toddlers butts. The P&T second seat goes the full length to past their head so has lots of support.

I was expecting it to be a layby job and DH just said, We'll take it home! I took Blake for a walk in it yesterday afternoon and we both loved it. I cant' wait until #3 gets to ride in it too!

I would suggest the Mountain Buggy Urban. So easy to use
