Question DS doesn't like sheets/blankets?? advice please

    Hi all,

I am hoping someone can shed some light on how my 9 month old can stay warm this winter... from around 8 weeks old my DS has not liked sheets or blankets being on his legs. He just kicks them off. I recently purchased a sleeping bag suit which he used for the first time last night and kicked and carried on as he wanted to get his legs free! Any ideas about how I can keep him warm this winter? Maybe I didn't introduce the suit early enough.... any ideas/suggestions would be great

I think you can get some sleepsuits that have TOG ratings like the sleeping bags, but would still allow him to have his legs 'free'.

Thanks for the replies. I will try the layering idea first as I have to hunt around for a better bigger sleeping bag.

You can get Babylegs or huggalugs...they are like legwarmers for babies.
Charlotte is the same, so I got a heap of those and she loves them - she can get around and move and not get tangles in her sleeping bag...when she was small though I put her in the sack like grobags...

I think you can get really warm jumpsuits? And they wear their pyjamas underneath.

My DD didnt' wear a sheet or blanket until 4 years old! She always had what we called a "lamby suit". You can now get similar ones at Target, they are all in one but allow baby to walk and use legs. I would put layers underneath and knew she was warm enough. DD 2 has a sheet (no blanket allowed) and it comes off every night anyway. xo
