Due to the flood crisis that happened up here last week our shops have been fairly bare(we are on the Gold Coast - so not directly affected by the water, but obviously affected in other ways). So when I did grocery shopping yesterday the only milk left was lite milk (98.5% fat free). So I bought it...cause we needed milk (had only a mouthful left at home). I also bought a strawberry milk (also the only ones left).

So I thought I'd read somewhere that you shouldn't give low fat milks to toddlers and babies...is that right???
If not why not???
Is it alright to give it if it is the only milk I could buy (even the long life milk shelves were empty...except for the low fat stuff too)???
If not...what if its just a little bit in their breakfast or other meals?

My DH will try to get some normal milk on his way home from work today or tomorrow- but until then is this milk ok for now? My DS's love their milk (even DS2 almost 1 has begun his transition to cows milk...and loves it).

Thanks in advance for your replies.
