This is the age that you can invent things from home, without spending a heap of $$$.
Nina used to love going through the draws, so I rearranged the bottom draw in the kitchen, and put her favourite toys in their. So that was her draw.
Also arts and crafts were a favourite. They don't care what it is you're using, just go to a discount shop and get some stuff for him. Nina just loved sitting down with me drawing, glueing things, or even doing some sticker books.
This is also a good age to start teaching them ABC and numbers.
Thanks Jodi. I've made a cupboard for DS too which keeps him briefly occupied! He's a little young yet for crafty things, he just wouldn't be into it yet. I can't wait for when he is, I've heaps of stuff!
Although I did just read on one website that you can do finger painting with pudding, because then if they put their hands in their mouths (which he still does a lot), its fine. Sounds messy but fun!
Doing crafts with food is fun! Even if you're making some biscuits, or a cake or something, have him help you mix the ingredients. Nina started at that age, and now she does almost everything with preparing the cake mix.
