Just wondering if anyone could give me an idea for a thank you gift for a midwife?
I am going to finally catch up with my midwife who was just awesome, and I would love to give her something to show her my appreciation, money is a little tight at the moment, so I am feeling a bit limited.
Any ideas would be great - thank you!

I agree - telling her how much you appreciated in a card will be worth far more than an expensive gift. Then you could put some flowers or a small gift as well if you still wanted to.
I sent a card with a photo of Em, and also a 'family' photo with a box of choccies for all the midwives to share, and then a seperate card & choccies for a midwife who really helped me out.
I was going to say a photo too. I think that would mean more to her than flowers or chocolates. It's more personal and is a keep sake.
Are you at all into painting, or have a friend who is? My previous doctor had a folk art angel hanging on her wall in her office with a little sign that said "Dr. Smith makes heavenly deliveries." It was pretty cute, and I'm sure it was a gift from a previous patient. Very simply done, but nice. Perhaps something like that might be good?
AWww - that sounds lovely Cricket!
Thanks everyone for the feedback.
I haven't got a creative bone in my body - but the idea was certainly great.
So I will give her a card with some of my own words, a gorgeous photo, and a box of chocolates.
That's gotta put a smile on most faces I should think!
