We organised it to so both toddler (2&1/2yrs old at the time) and newborn gave each other a gift - we got a pair of soft cute toys and they gave each other one - so the same but different Also, I took DD#1 out to choose another gift all by herself for the baby and then got her to 'wrap' it (using the term "wrap" rather loosely, lol)

IL's had the baby doll organised which DD#1 loved! I also think those beautiful books on becoming a big sibling and about babies entering their world's are gorgeous and can be like keepsakes
