Giving DD a queen bed and eventually sharing with sibling?

My girls each have their own queen size bed so no, not silly at all. Its the best thing we ever did in terms of their sleeping and ours.

Originally the beds were in their separate rooms, and the girls would share a bed but move between each other's rooms ITMS - they did that for a couple of years or so. They then decided that they wanted to share a room but not a bed, so we have both queens in one bedroom and they sleep in their own bed. Either way, one or two little girls in a queen size is still tons of room for me to climb in with one of them if they're having a bad night and get decent sleep myself. Likewise, its not such a bad contingency plan for DH to move into one of the girl's beds to sleep if she is sick or something and crept into our bed.

Down the track when DD3 is ready to move from her cot, she will get a queen size bed too.
