From the sound of your DD, its not going to be a smooth transition...but you know with kids, after 3-4 days of the same thing, she will get used to the idea. Off the topic, but we had to move DD#1 and DD#2 into the same room in May...... It was party central at bedtime at our home -They were talking, laughing till 9pm at night - because it was all new to them. Now, we can hear them snoring loudly at 730pm.....what im trying to say is, there will be stumbling blocks when you introduce the todd. bed, but after a few nights, few weeks, she will get it KWIM???

I also think the idea of her picking a new doona, new sheets etc is a great idea.Same with pjs. Give her a choice of 2 pairs of cooler pjs, and the fact that she is making the decision (rather than you LOL), might get her thinking a) she got her own way and b) in the type of pjs you want her to wear.....

    Good luck. !

    Thanks guys!!!
I have talked to her and she actually seems excited about a bed. She kept saying "NO LINES, NO LINES" which I guess is the cot bars....felt so bad as she obviously does have thoughts about her cot!! Anyway, I said "No more lines" and she was like "YEY"!! I told her we are going to pick out some sheets and a pillow so she seems happy.
Still not sure how the actual transition will go, but good to hear others have done successfully with similar type children!!
MBear I'll be prepared for some late nights when I move them in together!!!
    thanks again guys xo
